Pét-Nat
From venue:
Instructor: Vitalii
Like some of the best things in the world, the first sparkling wine was invented by accident.
The French winemaking monks of the 16th century bottled their wine a bit too early before it was done fermenting. Finishing the fermentation in the bottle, the wine became naturally sparkling (pétillant naturel).
Much has changed in the wine world since, but the initially accidental method of making fizzy wine has survived, and today it's known as Pét-Nat.
Join us as we dive into the delicious pool of ancestral sparklers!
